Great news! The Stranahan class of 1967 is sponsoring a 1960s flashback Armory Dance Friday night party on July 13th 2012. And the best part is The Jesters will be playing! It will be just like old times! The Flashback Party will be open to the Stranahan classes of the 1960s, and we are inviting our old friends from Nova, Lauderdale, Plantation, St Thomas, Pine Crest and surrounding Broward County schools to join us. Please help out by passing the word. Remembering the old days! And the old music!
We know you’re as excited about this party as we are, but space is limited! Therefore you need to reserve your tickets as soon as possible. Advanced tickets are just $20 per person, but tickets at the door will be $25, if any are still available. The Ar...mory has been remodeled, its air conditioned now, but the floor space is still the same. There will also be Gourmet Food Trucks selling food and soft drinks. The more advance reservations we get, the bigger and better the event will be.
Reservations will be honored on a first come first serve basis. Checks should be made out to Stranahan Class Reunion and send to:

Meet "Blissing" - Diane David, Lynn Nichols and Eileen Douglas - Visit "Blissing, an acapella trio" on Facebook

Blissing in the NEWS:
Mountains to Molehills: ‘Blissing'
By Lou Parris
In the Hendersonville Times, December 22, 2010
If you see three women in bright red capes around the county, you'll want to stop and listen. It might be the "Blissing," a new female acappella trio doing what they call "random acts of caroling." And everyone is enjoying their surprise performances. Diane David, Eileen Douglas and Lynn Nichols have made surprise visits to nursing homes, Esmeralda Inn and various locations in Chimney Rock. "I was in the Hendersonville post office the other day, and Eileen and Lynn came in, and we just started singing," says Mrs. David. They're spreading the message of Christmas in harmony, and Mrs. David says they have been well received. Want to catch their next performance? They will be at Carillon and Pine Park assisted living communities at lunchtime Christmas Eve.
Please send us your photos of the mini reunion! We would love to post them here. sharon@flhs1964.com

"While in Ft. Lauderdale to visit family over the holidays I had the privilege of meeting with Ron Davis and spending some time reminiscing about the high shool music program. It was a wonderful walk down memory lane and a golden opportunity to get to better know the man who meant so much to all of us. He brought the Musical Memories book with him which was a treat to look through (see picture). It was a great visit. I encourage everyone to stay in touch with Ron and Dee!"
